Our Story
Steadwell Healthcare Consulting started with a simple belief: small clinics deserve big solutions.
We’re Afren and Pooja—two undergrads who got our start not in boardrooms, but in exam rooms. After working in physician-owned and rural clinics across Texas—from San Antonio to Dallas—we saw something firsthand: these clinics were doing everything they could to care for their communities, often with very limited resources. But when it came to improving operations or trying something new, the help they needed was either too expensive or didn’t exist.
We kept thinking, Why should only large healthcare systems get access to high-level strategy?
So instead of waiting for fancy degrees or job titles, we built something ourselves. We gathered a team of creative, driven, healthcare-passionate college students who shared a vision: to bring smart, affordable consulting to the clinics that need it most.
And that’s how Steadwell was born.
Our goal is simple—to steady the foundation of care. We help small, rural, and nonprofit clinics with everything from clinical workflow improvements and operations to community outreach, marketing, and patient-centered innovation. No big price tags. No fluff. Just practical, thoughtful, mission-driven support.
